In the Permissions section, you can see the permissions that are granted by your assigned role:

* **Admin:** Can add, remove, and edit users and roles.
* **Approve:** Allows the user to approve bid sheets.
* **Create:** Can create new items in the database.
* **Edit:** Can edit items in the database.
* **Delete:** Can delete items in the database.

The Features section shows which parts of the Innova product line you have access to. The available features are governed by the features that you organization has purchased, as well as the role that you username has been assigned. Each column in the table represents access to each Innova product:

* **Vision:** Defines the features available when you are using the Innova Vision app on your smartphone.
* **Vantage:** Defines the features that you have access to when logged in to Innova Vantage.
* **API:** Defines the features you have access to when using the Innova API to retrieve data using third party apps.
* **WSX:** Only the ‘Base’ feature is relevant in this column. If this is checked, you can use your username and password to log in to your organization’s remote server database when using Well Seeker X. All other features for Well Seeker X are granted by your license.

&#x20;

**Favourites:** This menu allows the user to set selected rigs, operators and districts as favourites. Many pages in Vantage can be filtered to only show wells that fall under the favourite criteria set here. This allows the user to quickly find important wells when working in Vantage. Double click in the right hand column to select and deselect items in each category, then click on **Submit** to apply your changes.

On some pages (Such as the Dashboard - **section 5.0**) favourited wells will have a star next to their status icon. Clicking on this icon will add/remove that well’s rig to your favourites list.

&#x20;

**Change Password:** Allows the user to change their password for Vantage. Enter your new password in both the ‘new’ and ‘confirm’ boxes, then click on Submit.

**Logout:** Logs the user out of Vantage.

## 3.4 -  Alert System

The Innova Vantage Alert System provides customizable notifications to help monitor wells, drilling activity, anti-collision monitoring, and data exchange. The user can configure their own alerts through the Accounts Settings menu in the top right. They can configure alerts for other users via User Management (**section 4.9**).

**Important: Most alerts are only sent for wells that are both active and marked as favourite.**

### 3.4.1 -  Alert Types

Innova Vantage supports seven alert types:

<figure><img src="/files/EpHPbOEPV3RheXXhfIos" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Data Acquisition:** Notifications related to collecting and storing WITS data
* **Anti-Collision:** Alerts triggered by potential collisions.
* **Well Notifications:** Updates on well activity.
* **Drilling Parameters:** Alerts for key drilling metrics and thresholds.
* **Data Bridge:** Alerts for importing third party data activities.
* **Organization Notifications:** Alerts triggered by changes in Organization. This alert type is not tied to a specific well and does not need to have a favourite well linked to it.
* **BHA Notifications:** Alerts triggered by changes in BHA.

**Note:** Anti-collision alerts rely on the configuration in the [**Anti-Collision Dashboard.**](https://vantage.innova-drilling.com/anti-collision-dashboard) Ensure that dashboard settings are properly defined to generate relevant alerts.

### 3.4.2 - How to Add an Alert

<figure><img src="/files/DfrJYSeLImcXEA0bFNpB" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Note:** Some alerts may only have ‘Info’ available in the Severity dropdown menu.

5. User may have more configurations to set in the alert, like Phase, Rig, Min and Max values, Use Min Depth, Use Max Depth, Include Projections and Send Once. Set these options as desired and click ‘Add’ to save the alert.
6. If the user wants to add another alert under the same alert type, select +Add Another in the bottom left corner and set the new alert as desired.

<figure><img src="/files/l1f83OXN1w1ANRNMgYnn" alt="" width="433"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 3.4.3 - Notification Methods

When an alert is set, a red notification badge is displayed next to the corresponding **Alert Type**, showing the number of active alerts for that category. Users can then select how they would like to receive notifications for each alert type:

* **Dashboard Notification** – Sends alerts directly to the Dashboard page.
* **Email Notification** – Sends alerts to the registered email address.

For each notification type, users can define the alert frequency by specifying a number and a time unit (**minutes, hours or days**):

<figure><img src="/files/4vGbT3FDDbvuF8GpCs1d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

After changing the notification method and frequency, user needs to click in ‘**Apply**’ at the bottom right to save their changes and start receiving the alert notifications.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.innova-drilling.com/introduction/innova-engineering-manual/innova-vantage-manual/3.0-main-interface.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
