# 6.8.2 - Survey View

The survey view allows the user to enter survey data into survey files and is accessible by **double left-clicking** on a survey in the Object Explorer.

The tie-on line for the survey is not editable from the grid and can only be changed in the survey properties dialog. Enter **Measured Depth (MD), Inclination (INC)** and **Azimuth (AZI)** values into their respective columns, and all other parameters will be calculated.

The distance, Up Down, Left Right, TC X, TC Y, TFO HS, TFO + Azi and BR to Land columns will only be populated if a **principal plan** is present. The BR to Land column data can be overridden if the Force Landing option is selected in the Actual Wellbore Properties. The proximity calculations are performed using the scan method specified at operator level.

If a principal plan is present, the PLAN INC and PLAN AZI columns will also populate. Using the 3D closest approach method, these show the inclination and azimuth of the nearest point on the plan from that station.

The slide seen, slide remain and motor yield columns require data to be entered into the [**Slide Sheet**](/introduction/innova-engineering-manual/well-seeker-x-manual/11.0-reporting/11.11-slide-sheet.md).

The user can customise which columns are available by going to the **Settings** ribbon and selecting [**Show/Hide Columns**](https://docs.innova-drilling.com/introduction/innova-engineering-manual/well-seeker-x-manual/6.0-well-seeker-x-database-structure/6.8-level-7-survey/pages/a53f902c42d6891b0ed41a082c42fe71040d7b69#id-8.4.7-show-hide-columns)**.**

Right-clicking on a survey station will show the context menu. From there the user can copy and paste survey stations, delete stations, and insert a new blank row above the selected station. If the 3D chart is open for the current survey, selecting *Go to survey* will move the fly down sphere to that station.
