Display: Toggles on Error Ellipses.
9.11.3 - Travelling Cylinder
These options are only available when viewing a travelling cylinder plot.
North/Highside: Toggle between referencing the chart to north or highside referenced. The default reference can be selected in the Anti-Collision Settings, which is accessed via the Anti-Collision section of the Home ribbon.
Show Errors on Ref Well: If error ellipses are being displayed, this option displays the ellipses on the reference well.
If the user has opened a Travelling Cylinder plot from a plan, any offset surveys which are associated with the same Well will not display errors when the user selects to show these.
In the above image if the user opens the New Plan and offsets the current survey and the offset survey, when in the TC plot, if they select to display errors, NO errors will be displayed on the Current Survey because it is associated with the same well (Ref Well) as the plan which is being referenced. The offset survey will show errors as it is associated with a different well.
Selecting Show Errors on Ref Well allows the user to override this and display the errors on Current survey if they require.
It is worth noting here that if the user opens a TC plot from the Current survey and offsets the New Plan, even though the new plan is associated with the same well, the errors will display. The program behaves differently depending on whether a survey or plan is the reference for the TC plot.
9.11.4 - Geo Steering Data
These options are only available in the Section View or 3D Plots. They require data to be entered into the Geo-Steering Updates dialog which can be accessed by right-clicking at plan or actual well level.
Target Zone: Displays the data from the Geo-Steering Updates table on the section and 3D plots.
Interpretation: This option is used in conjunction with the ROGII StarSteer integration.
9.11.5 - TVD Slice
This option is only available when viewing a spider plot. It allows the user to define a TVD slice to dispaly on the chart.
9.11.6 - User Defined Labels
If a chart has any user defined labels displayed on it, this option can be used to toggle them on/off.
To add a custom label, the user can double-click an existing label, or right click in the chart and select ‘Add custom label’ from the context menu. Once the dialog is open, the user can adjust the available options to best suit their needs.
9.11.7 - General
SF Warnings: Only available when viewing the Separation Factor plot. This option will toggle on/off the warning level lines on the chart.
9.11.8 - Grid
This section allows the user to modify the chart axis and scale, as well as customise the grid lines and background colour.
Axis / Scale
This section is where the user can define the size and scale of the chart axis and customise the chart grid lines and ticks.
Limits: X, Y min and max: Allows the user to define the maximum and minimum values for the X and Y axis. Toggle the checkboxes besides each one to allow Well Seeker to automatically set the limits.
If the fixed scale option is not selected, changing the min and max values will change the scale.
If the fixed scale option has been toggled below, entering a min or max value will cause the other value for that axis to change. This is to preserve the scale value set by the user.
Grid Lines: Major and Minor: Allows the user to toggle whether major and minor grid lines are displayed on the chart. Grid lines can be toggled for individual axis. Use the dropdown boxes to the right to set the colour of the gridlines.
Ticks: Maj Tick and Min Tick: Uncheck the checkboxes to manually define the interval between each major and minor ticks on the X- and Y-axis.
Scale: The fixed scale option must be toggled on before this can be edited. Allows the user to set the axis scale sizes. The scale is the size of the axis per unit length on the physical page. It is most relevant in the Wall Plot Composer.
Thick Major Gridlines: Toggle this on to increase the width of major grid lines on the chart.
Scale / cm: Toggles between scale/in or scale/cm if the show scales option is turned on.
Banded Grid: This option is only available in the Section View Plot in the Wall Plot Composer. When selected, it removes the gridlines from the area of the chart to the right of the wellbore. This provides a cleaner space in the wall plot to add additional plots and tables.
Lock to end: This option is only available in the Section View Plot in the Wall Plot Composer. Whenever the WPC is opened, the chart will automatically zoom in on the last survey for the well. This keeps the chart up to date as the well is being drilled.
Show Scales: Toggle this option on to display the scale/in or scale/cm value on the chart axis. The scale is the size of the axis per unit length on the physical page. It is most relevant in the Wall Plot Composer.
Fixed Scales: Toggling this on allows the user to manually set the scale.
Colours
This section allows the user to set the colours of the chart background and axis.
Desktop: Sets the colour of the area around the plot, where the chart and axis titles are contained.
Background: Sets the colour of the chart background in section and plan view charts.
X Z Plane: Sets the colour of the X & Z planes in the 3D plot.
Y Plane: Sets the colour of the Y planes in the 3D plot.
Text: Sets the colour of the title and axis labels.
Graph Options
This section defines the chart border and allows the user to display a legend.
Border: Defines the style of the border around the outside of the chart.
Legend: Any option other than hide will display a legend on the chart, containing each well path currently displayed on the chart.
Font Sizes
This section allows the user to define the font size of any text in the chart.
Labels: Defines the size of any labels (casing, annotations, etc.) on the chart.
Axis numbers: Defines the size of the text in the axis titles.
Grid numbers: Defines the size of the numbers displayed on each axis.

Compass ring: Toggles the compass ring, which displays the direction of north/south and east/west around the fly down sphere.
Info Text: Changes the colour of the info text on the left hand side of the chart, that displays trajectory information of the wellbore at the current fly down sphere position.
Radius: Defines the radius of the worksight.
Increment: Defines the increment of the distance markers in the work sight.
Show Rig: Toggles a 3D model of a rig at the well surface location.
Lease Line (LL) Curtain: Toggling on changes lease lines from 2D shapes to 3D shapes, that extend from surface down to the deepest TVD of the displayed wells. Targets must be displayed before this option has any effect.
Bit Projection: If the reference well has a projection added to it, this option can be used to toggle the display of the projection on/off on the chart.
Survey Spheres: Sets the size of survey spheres, which can be toggled on/off in the Depth Labels section.
Fly Down Spheres: Sets the size of the fly down sphere.
Bit Projection colour: Sets the colour of the bit projection.
Depleted zone: Toggling on will display the depleted zones. This will display a non-expanding ellipse, based on the dimensions set at the actual wellbore properties dialog, and where the depleted zones intersect, they will be in red.
Depleted zone colour: Sets the colour of the depleted zone.
9.11.10 - Plan/ Section View
Only available when viewing a Plan or Section View chart.
Intersection projection: Adds a straight line projection from the last survey or plan station, that extends until it intersects all available lease lines. At each intersection point there is an annotation showing the distance (DIST) between the last station and the intersection point, as well as the Measured Depth, Noth/South, East/West and Vertical Section of the intersection point.
Perpendicular: Requires Intersection Projection to be toggled on. Changes the projection so that it now projects perpendicular to the last station instead of forwards. Each intersection is annotated as before. The forward projection is also displayed as a green line.
Show 330’ perp: Requires Intersection Projection and Perpendicular to be toggled on. This option adds perpendicular projections to the forward projection line. These projections are positioned so that they hit the lease lines at a distance of 330 feet (100.584m) from the forward projection line.
Whole well:
Step Interval:
Lookahead:
Closest approach:
Unwrapped: Only available for section view charts.
9.11.11 - Series Styles
The Series Styles section allows the user to customise how the reference wellbore, and any offsets, are displayed on the chart. The table lists the reference well and any displayed offsets.
Name: The name of the actual well or plan.
Type: Whether the well is an actual well or a planned well.
