The most recent release notes for Well Seeker X. This document details the various changes implemented between revisions.

Release Notes for 3.0.4.0 (15th October 2025)

  • Plan Inc and Plan Azi added to the survey grid. Displays the values from the 3D closest point on the principal plan.

  • Slide remaining logic for the value displayed in the survey grid has been updated to include all slides recorded in the slide sheet that have not yet been covered by a survey interval.

  • Surveys now auto save if a survey entry is added via WITS or a survey integration feature.

  • Phase Editor added to the Daily Activity Editor. The user can select a phase from the dropdown, enter a start and end depth, and click Update. All phase codes within the specified range will be updated to the selected phase.

  • ID added to Casing Details dialog.

Release Notes for 3.0.3.4 (09th October 2025)

  • Auto-backup feature added. Well Seeker will now auto-backup the open database every two hours and store in the C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Well Seeker Pro\DB Backup folder. Up to five versions of the same database will be stored, before the oldest will be overwritten, effectively giving the user up to 10 hours worth of local database backups at 2 hour intervals.

  • Added Spanish dictionary for spell checker functionality. To activate user needs to have Windows system language set to Spanish.

Release Notes for 3.0.3.4 (06th October 2025)

  • Changed the way error ellipses are drawn in the 3D and plan view plots.

    • In 3D view standard ellipses now display 2 crossed ellipsoids, one is the high side lateral ellipse and the other is the lateral along hole ellipse. This will show the correct representation of the errors in all directions.

    • In the 3D view there are now options in the chart properties to display as a cone or an ellipsoid.

    • On the plan view the error ellipse plotted is the NEV ellipse from the covariance matrix. This means that the ellipse semi major may not always be perpendicular to the wellbore.

  • Added the bellow formations to target formations dropdown list:

  • Added Plan/Actual Well name for reference on Data Factory dialog.

  • Added lease line intersection logic in the RTAC dialog. If the principal plan of a well crosses a lease line and your actual well in within a 200’ horizontal radius of this intersection, the Warning OK to cross will be displayed.

  • Slide/Rotate rig states logic has been updated to accommodate scenarios where the WITS data frequency caused the rpm values during oscillation to not vary much. New logic takes rpm variation as the primary indicator and torque as a secondary indicator for oscillation

Release Notes for 3.0.3.2 (27th September 2025)

  • New option added to Integrations ribbon menu ‘Data Factory ROGII’

    • Only available if a well is selected

    • Circle in the map can be dragged and resized

    • Max search radius is 10 miles

    • Can only be opened if the selected well uses NAD83 or NAD27 and only the same wells can be pulled in.

    • Requires Rogii login credentials to utilize.

  • New option added to context menu for exporting options ‘Export with offsets’

Release Notes for 3.0.3.2 (23rd September 2025)

  • On Motor Stall dialog

    • Stall detection now has a user defined threshold in the thresholds grid (this is the stall pressure above the avg pressure which determines a stall).

    • Stall is classed as ended if pressure drops below the avg pressure at start of stall + 10%.

  • Pump Cycles is now logged in rig states. If there is no pump cycle data captured by wits, it will use the number of code 10s found in the daily reports.

    • Code 10 pump cycles will only be updated when the daily reports have been saved.

  • Added total motor rotor revolutions on motor report.

  • Added ‘Hybrid’ bit type on Drill String Editor.

Release Notes for 3.0.3.2 (22nd September 2025)

  • Dialog added to Drill String and Slide Sheet for more detailed motor stall information.

    • If stall data is entered here it will grey out the #stalls and stall pressure in the BHA run data dialog and use the data from the stall dialog.

    • The goal is to capture the total energy and potential damage each stall has.

    • Stall data section has been added to PDF and excel motor report.

    • New Stall detection processor has been added to rig states.

      • There is a diagnostics section for it in the rig states dialog below the rpm thresholds.

      • Rules:

        • Need to have a minimum of 30 samples in the pressure and flow buffers (usually this will be 30 seconds).

        • Flow rate needs to be stable compared to the average (within 5% of the average).

        • Flow buffer will reset if there is a change of flow > 10% of average.

        • Minimum time of 30 seconds between stalls.

        • Max stall time is 3 mins.

        • All stall data will save to the stall data section available in the drill string or slide sheets.

  • New parameters added to the Motor Performance Report.

    • Motor nutations (total rotor revolutions * stator lobes).

    • Motor Work kJ (measure of the amount of input hydraulic power and relates to how hard the motor has worked).

    • Pump Cycles

Release Notes for 3.0.3.2 (19th September 2025)

  • New option added to External File dialog.

    • ‘Open File Location in the context menu.

    • Image preview.

    • Rotate button for images.

  • Images dialog on Drill String was removed and the Files dialog is been updated to match the External Files dialog.

Release Notes for 3.0.3.2 (18th September 2025)

  • External Files dialog has been updated

    • Details of the files are shown in the tree (file size, local file name, and BHA number)

    • The file is added automatically

    • To delete a file, use the delete key

    • Double click to open the file

    • If a file is in the external files table but not on the local machine a red badge with an exclamation mark will be displayed next to its name

    • Can drag and drop files on to the dialog to add them

    • Can drag and drop files between folders

    • Can select multiple files to deleted at once

    • Can assign a BHA to any file by using the drop down in the BHA column

    • If a file is an image an gets a BHA assigned to it, it will automatically be moved to the images sub folder and be visible in the images dialog in the drill string editor

    • If a file is an image and has a BHA assigned to it, you cannot drag it out of the images folder

    • There is a context menu which can be used for open delete and copy to clipboard

      • If copied to clipboard the file can be pasted to any other folder or desktop

Release Notes for 3.0.3.0 (11th September 2025)

  • ‘Oasis activity export’ option added to Print DDR options on Daily Reports

  • Added 200ft spheres which display on the 3D plot at points where the principal plan intersects a lease line.

  • RT AC lease lines will show the text in the warning column “OK to cross” if you are less than the lease line C2C warning distance but the point of interest is within 200ft of the point at which a principal plan crosses a lease line. If the inclination of the survey is > 60 then the TVD portion of the distance is ignored and it just looks at the horizontal distance

  • 2 3/8 REG SST, 4 A107, 4 1/2 VX46, AILM 395AILM 450, Delta 243, Delta 259, Delta 321, Delta 377, Delta 494, Delta 576, Delta 663, XT24, XT26, XT29, XT30, XT31, XT34, XT55 connections added to Connection Top dropdown list on Component Properties.

  • Added a new dialog to help diagnose data sync / exchange issues. Right click on an actual well and click on Data Sync Diagnostic. This will tell the user if there are any factors which would cause the data sync to fail.

  • Viscosity added to mud data on motor performance report for PDF and Excel format.

  • ‘Subsea depths -ve’ option added to Report Manager Dialog on Report Options. This makes the report results show the TVDSS values as +ve when above sea level and –ve when below sea level.

Release Notes for 3.0.2.9 (8th August 2025)

  • When a plan is sidetracked/tied on to another well/plan and user wants to change Tie-on section to ‘User Defined’ or ‘From Surface’, it shows a warning saying ‘This action will disconnect the plan from the tie on well. Do you wish to continue?’. If the user selected user defined it would use the same values that were previously in the From survey / plan section, clear the ST details and survey program and add a new row to the Survey program from the user defined tie on point.

    • Warning added if these items have not been filled when user saves in the Daily Report dialog.

Release Notes for 3.0.2.2 (19th Jun 2025)

  • Deployed an enhancement to the tool transfer process with Oasis:

Previously if credentials were entered locally when tools were transferred in the tool inventory a dialog would pop up asking if you wanted to transfer tools in Oasis. With the new setup for Oasis, credentials were entered on the server not the local, so this transfer tools step did not notify Oasis if tools were moved. The updated version will now notify Oasis when tool transfers are done, it will try to match the job number of the well tools are being transferred from and the job number of the well being transferred to in Oasis. If it managed to do the above tools will be transferred in Oasis, if not there will be an error displayed.

  • Implemented a check on Oasis credentials dialog, in URL field if there is //, WSX will remove one / to fix the URL

Release Notes for 3.0.2.1 (8th Jun 2025)

  • Well Seeker login function has changed to use our new authentication method, in line with Portal.

    • When you login to Well Seeker X it will now always take you to a web login page.

    • You no longer will enter your password in the dialog, just the user name

    • It will save sessions so if the token is still valid (stored in windows credentials manager) it will not ask you to re-enter your password or MFA when you hit the connect button it will log you in

Release Notes for 3.0.0.12 (25th May 2025)

  • Modification on the Oasis tools workflow:

    • If the Oasis integration is enabled when you open the tool inventory it will check to see if new tools have been shipped to Oasis.

    • If new tools are found it will ask you if you want to import them.

    • If you have the daily reports dialog open it will check every 30 mins for new Oasis tools and pop a windows notification if tools are found.

    • Tools can be imported into the Inventory from Oasis with no credentials entered on the local machine, but have to be entered on the portal.

  • Added feature that highlights the section of a survey or plan in a chart when the corresponding row is selected in the survey or plan grid.
