Innova Vantage - Data Insights Upgrade

Introduction

The purpose of this document is to introduce the upgraded Data Insights page, previously known as Analytics.

The Data Insights page has been redesigned to provide a more logical layout, improved usability, and enhanced data visualization, making it easier to access and interpret key performance metrics.

Key upgraded features include save/load filter settings, save/load KPI layouts and the ability to visualize multiple KPIs alongside each other.

The interface is split across two tabs, Select Wells and View KPIs. The View KPIs tab replaces the long list of KPIs that used to appear down the left edge of Vantage.

Further details in this document will outline the improvements, highlight functional changes, and explain how to get the most from the new interface. The underlying workflow is the same:

  1. Apply filters to reduce the well list to the desired wells

  2. Select wells

  3. View KPIs

Workflow

1. Apply filters

The Selected Wells tab is where the user applies filters to display the desired group of wells for selection.

  • Filter options available in the ribbon at the top of the page and in the well grid column headers.

  • Save existing filters templates and easily return to previous configurations. The import ability allows the old Analytics filter templates to be imported and utilized.

2. Select wells

  • Select the checkboxes of the desired wells to be included in the KPIs.

3. View KPIs

The View KPIs tab is where the user can visualize and export the key performance indicators for their selected wells. The main benefit is that now users can view multiple KPIs at once.

  • The user can select up to eight (8) KPIs from the dropdown menu.

  • To streamline future sessions, the user can mark KPIs as favourites by clicking the star icon located next to each KPI name in the dropdown and in the next use, these favourites will be in the top of the list.

  • Certain KPIs include additional filter options, for example, the Motor KPI includes a Phase Filter that will automatically appear in the top menu when selected.

  • The top menu also contains export controls, allowing the user to quickly download or share KPI data as needed.

  • To improve efficiency and consistency across teams, the user can save, import and export KPI templates directly in the KPI Templates section.

Once KPIs are selected, their charts appear directly below the top menu. Each chart can be resized or repositioned by clicking and dragging its corners, similar to adjusting a browser window. This flexibility allows the user to arrange their workspace as desired.

  • Right-clicking on any chart opens a context menu where the user can save or copy the chart image for reporting or presentations.

  • For grid-style KPIs, such as the Motor KPI, a pencil icon menu is available as usual. From this menu, the user can export the data to Excel for further review, sharing, or reporting.

The enhanced View KPIs tab delivers a more dynamic and user-friendly experience, giving the user full control over how data is viewed and organized, all within one interface.
