11.5.2 - Daily Report Home Ribbon
The Daily Report Home ribbon contains the core functions of the Daily Report window.
11.5.2.1 - File
Save: Saves any changes on the daily report.
Add report: Creates a new daily report.
Delete report: Deletes the currently selected report.
Undo: Reverses most recent action.
Redo: Re-do the previously undone action.
11.5.2.2 - Reports
11.5.2.2.1 - Excel Print DDR
Prints the currently selected daily report and Well Statistics as an Excel file. The user can select what data they wish to be included in the DDR Options tab of the ribbon, by selecting the checkboxes.
Clicking on the arrow below the icon will open the following options to print in Excel format:
All DDR: Prints all daily reports.
BHA: Prints the BHA which is assigned to the daily report being displayed in the main user interface at the time.
Slide Sheet: Prints the slide sheet for the BHA selected in the currently active daily report.
Daily Cost: Prints the daily cost associated with the selected Daily Report.
Well Cost: Prints ALL the daily cost information for the actual well as a single Excel file.
Grouped Cost: Prints a field invoice, where all associated individual costs are grouped together. If for example on a 10 day well the same cost appears each day (operating @ $1,000), all of these would be grouped together with the date range and the total cost ($10,000).
Filtered Cost: Prints a Well Cost report that can be filtered to only show the cost codes that the user wants. The user should select the cost costs that they wish to include and then click the Printbutton to print the report. The Search box can be used to filter the results table.
Cost Date Range: Allows the user to print versions of the Well Cost (Standard Invoice), Grouped Invoice and Cost Tracking report that are restricted to a specified date range.The user should enter the desired date ranges in the table. The Print checkbox can be used to enable or disable the selected range. The user should then select the report type and file format from the dropdown boxes and select Print to print the report. The Save button will save the entered settings.
Cost Tracking: Prints a report that lists all cost codes for the well, and then marks on which days they were used.
Tool Tracking: Prints an excel report that lists all items in the Tool Inventory and the DD and MWD personnel for the well. The report will show which days the tools were in hole, and the personnel were on site. It also totals up the number of days each tool was in hole and on locations and totals the number of days each personnel member was on site.
Tool Utilization: Prints a tool utilisation report in Excel format. The tool utilisation report lists every BHA component used in the well, along with the circulating hours, drilling hours, BRT hours and the runs in which each component was used. Note, that only tools with a serial number entered in the component details section of the relevant BHA will be included in this report.
Personnel Utilization: Prints a personnel utilization report including Name, Position, Date and time of arrival and departure and total days / hours on site.
Summary: Prints a Well Summary report including BHA summary, Bit Run Record, Motor Record, Personnel Summary, Phase Summary and Phase Summary per BHA.
Oasis Activity Export:Exports an excel document containing the daily activity data, that can be manually uploaded in to Oasis.
11.5.2.2.2 - PDF Print DDR
Prints the currently selected daily report and Well Statistics as a PDF file. The user can select what data they wish to be included in the DDR Options tab of the ribbon, by selecting the checkboxes.
Clicking on the arrow below the icon will open the following options to print in PDF format:
All DDR, BHA, Slide sheet, Daily Cost, Well Cost, Grouped Cost, Filtered Cost, Tool Utilization, Personnel Utilization and Summary as explained in the section above, but in PDF format.
Plan v Actual: Clicking on this option will create a wall plot in PDF format. The layout of the wall plot will be based on a template that has been set up for the select operator on your company’s Vantage environment. If no template has been set up, the layout will use a generic template.

11.5.2.2.3 - EOWR
The EOWR button prints an End of Well Report in Excel format. The user can select what data they wish to be included in the EOWR Options ribbon. Clicking on the arrow below the icon will open the following options:
Print EOWR excel: Prints an End of Well Report in Excel format.
Print EOWR pdf: Prints an End of Well Report in PDF format.
Morning Report Package: Creates a zipped folder which contains the excel EOWR and a copy of the current local database (this can be included/excluded from the package in the Settings ribbon.
Morning Report Email: This option requires Outlook to be the user’s default email software. It creates an email with the morning report package added as an attachment. The email body will contain summary data for the well.
Print Email Body: Prints the email body from the Morning Report Email, in Excel format.
Select Merge File: Allows the user to add an external PDF document to the PDF End of Well Report. User should select the PDF file in the dialog box that opens, and then click on the Open button. The external document will be added to the beginning of the EOWR, after the cover page.
Clear Merge File: If a Merge PDF file has been selected, this option clears the selection.
11.5.2.2.4 - Certified Surveys
After drilling a well in Texas or North Dakota, there is a requirement to send a certified survey report to the relevant government department. In these options the user to quickly print a certified surveys letter, or a Plat Overlay.
There are three options, Texas Cert Letter, North Dakota Cert Letter and Plat Overlay.

11.5.2.2.5 - Motor Yield
Opens a dialog where the user can choose the BHA and the file format to print a Motor Yield Report. The user can also choose to include drilling parameters by marking the checkbox.
11.5.2.3 - Navigation
First: Go to the first daily report.
Previous: Go to previous daily report.
Next: Go to next daily report.
Last: Go to last daily report.
11.5.2.4 - Daily Data
11.5.2.4.1 - Job Data
Opens the Job Data dialog, for more information see Job Data.
11.5.2.4.2 - Personnel
The Personnel Data dialog allows the user to enter key details of the senior rig personnel. This information is displayed in the Daily Report. These details only apply to the currently opened Daily Report. Pressing ‘Apply’ will save any changes entered. When a new day is created it will inherit the Personnel Data from the previous day.
11.5.2.4.3 - Pumps
The Pump Data dialog allows the user to enter details of the rig pumps. These details can be included in the daily report if selected from the DDR Options menu.
The pump output is automatically calculated from the input details. When a new day is created it will inherit the Pump Data from the previous day.
11.5.2.4.4 - Costs
The Daily Costs tool allows the user to assign items and their costs to the daily reports.
Items must have been previously defined using the Cost Codes tool (See Cost Codes). The predefined costs can then be selected from a dropdown menu in the Description column and given a quantity in the Qty column. The well daily cost and the total well cost are automatically calculated at the bottom of the dialog.
The user can manually enter the serial number for any individual component listed in the daily costs; however, marking the SN dropdown checkbox option at the top of the dialog, means that when the user selects a cell in the serial number column, a drop-down menu will appear listing all the serial numbers listed in the tool inventory, allowing the user to quickly choose from these options without needing to manually enter the data.
The BHA # column allows the user to assign each cost to a BHA created in the Drill string Editor. Then when the user prints a Grouped Field Invoice, the invoice will be grouped by the cost of each BHA.
Once populated, the user can then print the Daily Cost Report and the Well Cost Report from the menu, or toolbar in the main Daily Reporting window.
11.5.2.5 - Well Stats
11.5.2.5.1 - Charts
This option opens the KPI Tracking dialog.
This tool can be used to display several Key Performance Indicators based on data from the daily reports. Each KPI graph can be customised by right clicking and selecting options from the context menu (see section 9.0 - Charts). The user can export the current chart to Excel by clicking Data to Excel or all the charts by clicking on All. The Image to Clipboard option will copy the current chart to the clipboard, so that it can be pasted into other documents as an image.
11.5.2.5.2 - Depth V Days
Displays the Days vs Depth chart from the Daily Report. This chart is constructed from the daily activities section of the daily report.
The chart can be modified using the options on the menu ribbon:
Print: Prints the Depth vs Time chart to PDF.
Colour by Activity/Phase/BHA: Selecting one of these options, colours the Depth v Time series according to activity, phase or BHA at that point in the well. The chart legend describes the meaning of each colour. If no options is selected, the chart colours the line green by default.
Casing: Toggles the casings on and off.
Formations: Toggles the formations lines on and off.
Phases: Toggles the well phases on and off, as defined in the daily activities, as vertical lines on the chart.
Offsets: Toggles the offset wells on and off.
Screen Reader: Toggles the screen reader on and off.
Grid Lines: Toggles the grid lines on and off.
Grid Bands: Toggles the grid bands on and off. These are the horizontal grey/white lines that divides the chart in the depth
Select offsets: Opens the Select Offsets dialog. For more information see Select Offsets.
Flat time: Remove all: Remove all flat time in the chart.
Flat time: Remove start: Remove flat time in the beginning of the chart.
Flat time: Remove end: Remove the flat time in the end of chart.
Flat time: Day gaps: Remove the flat time in the middle of the chart, if there is any day gap.
11.5.2.5.3 - Well Statistics
The Well Statistics dialog, displays a variety of statistical data, taken from the DDR’s, Slide Sheet’s and BHA’s. It serves as a quick way for the user to view data from different sources side-by-side. The well statistics can be printed as an Excel or PDF format report from the top menu. User can also choose the data to display by marking the checkboxes.
11.5.2.5.4 - Tortuosity
The Tortuosity KPI window allows the user to compare wells based on their inclination, dogleg severity, cumulative dogleg severity and rate of penetration. The window displays four charts plotted against measured depth. The depth range displayed on the charts can be altered using the Depth From and Depth To boxes at the top of the window. The four charts displayed show the inclination, dogleg, cumulative dogleg and ROP. They can be removed by unchecking the Chart checkboxes in the bottom left. The Phases checkboxes in the bottom left will hide results for the selected phase from the charts.
The user can export the charts as an image and a table for each well by clicking on Export in the top menu.
The checkboxes in the top menu allow the user to select which sections are displayed in the dialog:
Well Selector: Shows or hides the Well Selector on the left side of the dialog.
Principal Plan: Shows or hides the principal plan line in the charts
Phases: Shows or hides the phase divisions in the charts.
Colour by BHA: Applies different colours to each BHA or displays the chart line in a single colour.
11.5.2.6 - Tools
Drill String: Opens Drill String Editor. See Drill String Editor for more information.
Pipe Tally: This option opens the Pipe Tally dialog. See Pipe Tally for more information.
Inventory: This opens the Inventory dialog. See Inventory for more information.
Shipping Tickets: This opens the Shipping Ticket dialog, see Shipping Ticket for more information.
Data Exchange: This option opens the Data Exchange dialog. See Push (Real Time Data Exchange) for more information.
Activity Codes: This option opens the Activity Codes dialog. See Activity Codes for more information.
Phase Codes: This option opens the Phase Codes dialog. See Phase Codes for more information.
Cost Codes: This option opens the Phase Codes dialog. See Cost Codes for more information.
Costs to Oasis: Exports cost data to an external Oasis ERP database. The Oasis endpoint credentials need to be set up. See Oasis Credentials.
11.5.2.7 - Data Validation
The Data Validation feature automatically scans the daily activities in real time and logs any errors found, along with a description. The user can use the controls to quickly navigate to each error. The daily activities grid will also highlight discrepancies in red.
