In Well Seeker version 2.2.1.3, the Slide Sheet dialog has been updated. This update added new features and streamlined some existing features. This technical note will detail the changes.
The following changes have been made to the Slide Sheet:
Users can now rearrange the column order in their slide sheet by left clicking on the column header, and dragging to the desired location.
The order can be reset by going to View >> Slide Sheet Column Order, and clicking on the Reset icon.
Users can record the distance of their activity by entering either the End Depth or the Course Length (CL), and the other column will automatically populate. In previous versions, the user had to use the Settings menu to toggle between these two inputs with only one option being editable at any one time.
The following columns have been added to the Slide Sheet. Users may need to enable these by going to View >> Slide Sheet Column Order and activating them in the dialog.
Hours (Hrs) – The number of hours between the Start Time and End Time. This column is automatically calculated.
Differential Pressure (Diff Press) – The difference between the On Bottom and Off Bottom Pressure. This column is automatically calculated.
On/Off Bottom Torque (On/Off Btm Tq) – The Torque column has been split into On Bottom and Off Bottom Torque columns. These columns are used to automatically populate the Drilling Parameters section of the Daily Reports
Formation – Allows the user to enter the current formation.
Users may notice that some menu options have been removed from the new version. The following Slide Sheet features have been streamlined for greater ease of use:
The Date Format option has been removed. Well Seeker now utilizes the user’s Windows date format automatically when the program is opened.
The Magnetometer and Accelerator unis are no longer selected in the slide sheet. They are now part of the selected Unit Set. Go to Tools >> Unit Sets in the main Well Seeker interface to edit your unit set.
The Slide Analysis feature has been removed.
The Include Bit Projection in survey email and the Attach survey listing to email options have been removed. The survey is always included, and the bit projection is now toggled in the Survey Update Email Template dialog.
The Copy Drilling Parameters to New Line and Auto Calculate ROP options have been removed. These are now always toggled on.
The Auto Populate Slide Sheet option has been removed from the menus. The user should use the toolbar icons to start and stop auto-populating the slide sheet using WITS data.
