Innova in any Language - Web Browser Translation Guide
Background
As Innova Drilling and Intervention products continues to be adopted by teams around the world, we’re seeing growing interest from users whose first language is not English. While our documentation is currently written in English, we want to make sure that everyone has the tools they need to understand and use it effectively—regardless of language.
To support this, we’ve created this guide to show you how to use the translation features in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, two of the most widely used browsers. Both browsers include built-in translation tools that allow you to instantly translate our documentation and any other web page into your preferred language.
1.0 - Microsoft Edge Built-in Translation
1.1 - Automatically Translate a Page
When user visits any Innova Documentation page, Edge may offer to translate it automatically if the default language in the user’s system is not English.
Open the webpage you want to translate.
A pop-up banner may appear at the top of the page, offering to translate it.
Choose your preferred language from the drop-down.
Click ‘Translate’.

💡Tip: You can select ‘Always translate from [language]’ to automate this for the future.


1.2 - Manually Translate a Page
If no prompt appears, the user can trigger the translation manually:
Click on the Translate icon
in the address bar, next to the star/bookmark icon.
In the pop-up menu, choose the target language.
Click ‘Translate’.
Or
Right-click anywhere in the page
Select ‘Translate to [language]’,in the context menu

User can revert the translation at any time by clicking on the translate icon again and selecting ‘Show original’.

1.3 - Translation Settings
To customize when and how translations appear:
Go to Settings in Edge (three-dot menu > Settings).
Click on Languages.
Enable or disable “Offer to translate pages that aren’t in a language I read.”

2.0 - Google Chrome Built-in Translation
2.1 - Automatically Translate a Page
When user visits any Innova Documentation page, Chrome may offer to translate it automatically if the default language in the user’s system is not English.
Open the Webpage you want to translate.
A pop-up banner may appear at the top of the page, offering to translate it.
Click in the desired language (usually auto-selected).

💡 Tip: Clicking on the 3 dots icon will open the options to choose always translate this language, never translate it or choose another language.

2.2 - Manually Translate a Page
If the prompt doesn’t appear user have 3 options:
First Option
Right-click anywhere on the page.
Select ‘Translate to [Your Language]’ from the context menu.

Second Option
Click in the Translate icon
in the address bar (if visible).
Click in the auto selected language.

Third Option
Click in the 3 dots icon on the right top corner of the browser
Select ‘Translate’ from the menu

User can revert the translation at any time by clicking on the translate icon again and selecting ‘English’.

2.3 - Translation Settings
To customize when and how translations appear:
Open Chrome Settings (three-dot menu > Settings).
Go to Languages.
Expand the section to “Language”.
Change the settings on ‘Google Translate’ grid under.

3.0 - Translate Any Web Page
It is important to mention that, these built-in browser tools are not only for Innova Documentation page, but can be used to translate any web page, including Innova website and Innova Portal.


4.0 - Conclusion
While this guide covers Chrome and Edge, it's worth noting that other modern browsers offer similar translation functionalities. If you're using a different browser, you can likely find a translation feature that works in much the same way.
We encourage all users, especially those in multilingual teams or regions, to leverage these browser tools for an enhanced, seamless experience with our documentation.
